Vineland

Vineland, one of the original three states of Canada, was founded by Leif Garrett in ca. 1000 AD. Its capital of St. Olaf is the oldest European settlement in North America.

Economy

Since the collapse of the Vineland wine industry in the Great Depression, the economy has been entirely based upon American cable television shows filming in Canada for budgetary reasons.

Politics

Vineland's military governor, appointed by the Canadian Council of Elders, is Thomas Pynchon.
