Transylvania

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Founded by Bram Stoker the Impaler in 1456, Transylvania is Europe's darkest and gloomiest country. In Transylvania, Halloween isn't a holiday, it's a way of life. Vampires, monsters, and half-human creatures lurk in the many Gothic castles found there, while terrified villagers tell stories of evil scientists and bloodthirsty creatures from the depths of Hell.

In recent years Transylvania has become a tourist attraction as teenagers from the goth, emo and rave scenes have gone there to experience the "intense lows" and "total feeling of darkness". As a result, Transylvania has recently replaced Seattle as the "world's coolest place", which should cut down on tourism as the title is meant to be ironic.
