Tool Time
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Tool Time is a long-running home improvement show that airs on local cable access in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Tool Time, sponsored by Binford Tools, is hosted by Tim Taylor, an energetic though klutzy do-it-yourself-er who entertains viewers by demonstrating how not to use power tools in a humorous and slightly dangerous fashion.
Most of the heavy lifting on the show was done by Taylor's knowlegable assistant Al Borland, a hefty and lovable handyman who always measured twice and cut once, before his untimely death in 2006.
Tim is joined on the set by Heidi, a former Miss Ypsilanti who placed second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Michigan pageant.
Unknown to the audience, Taylor is under the delusion that he is the star of an ABC sitcom called Home Improvement. Taylor's family and co-workers play along with his delusions, out of fear that he will go postal with a staple gun if ever confronted with his true reality.
