The N is a cable television network that began broadcasting on April 1, 2002.

Purchase by CBC
The N was originally owned by MTV who saw it as a place to dump the old episodes of The Real World, TRL and Beavis and Butt-head that VH1 didn't want to broadcast. In 2005 The N was sold to the CBC who have used it ever since as a way to introduce American audiences to all things Degrassi.

Full Time Broadcasting
Until the end of 2007 The N was broadcast in a package with Noggin, with each network showing alternating 3 hour segments of airtime. With the demise of Nickelodeon GaS, The N and their corporate masters at the CBC can now fulfill their wish of showing Degrassi programming 24 hours a day, every day, forever.
