The Man from Atlanta

The Man from Atlanta, also titled Man From Atlanta and The Killer Spores, was a police procedural that aired on NBC for a short time during the 1977 television season. The Man from Atlanta starred Patrick Dempsey as King Namor of Atlanta, who surfaced wherever a major crime (or at least one that could be solved in an hour) was committed, and Elizabeth Montgomery as his bewitching partner Belinda.

Following cancellation by NBC, the rights to The Man from Atlanta were picked up by CBS, who reworked the concept into a new police procedural titled The Man from Dallas.
