The Academy is a low-budget reality television show airing on My Network TV in 2007.

A sequel of sorts to the 1960s show The Beatles, The Academy follows the made-for-TV band once known as Supernova around on their "2007 World Tour". Fired from CBS and forced to change their name to "The Academy" due to lawsuits, the band's "world tour" mainly consists of gigs at bars located in college towns throughout South America. With only an aging AMC mini-van and a bald security guard named "Lester" to keep them company, "The Academy" must keep their tour going with only the limited funds available from My Network TV to help them. Can this alternative rock band become stars in the home of country music? Stay tuned to The Academy and find out, it's not like My Network TV is gonna have any midseason replacement shows ready anytime soon.
