The $100,000 Pyramid

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

The $100,000 Pyramid is a pyramid scheme (hosted by Dick Clark) in which producer Bob Stewart gets paid $100,000 for doing the same show seven times in a row. The game has two celebrity contestants and two average contestants describing something mindlessly to each other. Whoever got the most points got to climb a pyramid in ancient Egypt to win a $100k prize.

The show was named after the $10,000 to $50,000 prizes originally given from the show's run, yet after some while, the prize was a permanent $100,000.

Donny Osmond hosted a short-lived revival in 2002, which is why it's not popular anymore.

The original theme song to The $100,000 Pyramid was an instrumental entitled Walk Like an Egyptian.
