History of Tech TV

Long ago, in the year 2000, out of the morass known as the Silicon Valley near San Francisco, rose a television channel known as Tech TV. Tech TV was born when ZDTV was bought by a joint venture between billionaire industrialist Paul Allen and the number 3.

The network's founders, unfortunately, had one of the worst ideas in the history of television. Instead of showing regular shows such as sitcoms and reality shows, their creation would broadcast shows about computers, video games, and the Internet. This misguided strategy quickly backfired and, as a result, Tech TV rapidly sank to the bottom of the ratings, becoming the least-watched television channel of all time. The network floundered for a few years before the Allen-3 partnership sold it to G4 in 2005.
