Spring Break Shark Attack

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Spring Break Shark Attack was a Made-for-TV Movie that appeared on CBS. It followed on the heels of several other original CBS movies, a grouping that CBS advertised as "Movies That Make Slackers Who Stay At Home All Day Want To Get A Job."

Spring Break Shark Attack "starred" Shannon Lucio as Allison McScreechy, a college student on Spring Break in Florida. Along with other bored spring-breakers, McScreechy launched a full assault on tiger sharks in the area. McScreechy was almost always at the lead of these attacks (a necessity, since even the director didn't know the names of the other actors in the film), usually employing a bullhorn to screech to the sharks about how her parents would not let her change her major to anthropology. When that didn't work, she was usually successful in scaring them with her weird, uneven eyes.

The locals, however, relied on the tiger sharks for their scuba diving trade. They hired Dr. Richard Dreyfuss to hunt down and kill McScreechy. Dreyfuss, working with the local police chief and a deep-water fisherman, killed McScreechy, but not before she managed to eat the fisherman and most of their boat.

In 2006, Peter Benchley and Steven Spielberg sued CBS for $500 million dollars. No longer able to employ writers, CBS has adopted a policy of stealing plots from other projects for all of its TV shows and movies. Stay tuned next fall for CSI:Armageddon!
