Spooks is a BBC drama series starring ornithologist-turned-actor James Bond, about a grim, professional government team of paranormal investigators, charged with infiltrating and preventing supernatural threats against the United Kingdom. Noted for its thoughtful, morally ambiguous portrayal of relations between the mortal and spirit worlds, the series has become a cult hit in the United States under the title MI-5. (The "MI" stands for Mysterious Investigators.)
