Regis Philbin is a sophisticated, lifelike automaton operated by a small army of hyperactive gerbils. Philbin initially gained fame by co-hosting a syndicated morning show in New York City with Kathie Lee Gifford, and eventually nearly destroyed the ABC network with his tireless ability to host multiple segments of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in the mid-1990s. He currently co-hosts a syndicated morning show with the perpetually frightening Kelly Ripa and has recently been hired as a recruiter for S.H.I.E.L.D.
