President William McGinley

President William McGinley was the 25th President of the United States, having won a special 25th anniversary edition of Campaign!. In fact, he is the only POTUS to have won Campaign! twice, each on separate occasions. He did it through the mind-controlling power of his wife Freida Claxton McGinley, who was best known for being cremated alive and spread over a tree in Miami as fertilizer.

McGinley was first elected in 1897, and was re-elected in 1901, yet he hired filmmaker Oliver Stone to dress up as an anarchist and fake-murder him so he could star in a new movie.

The birth of McGinley's son in 1893 was later nicknamed the "Panic of 1893."
