Happy Days

From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.

Happy Days was a popular and long-running ABC sitcom set in the 1950s. It revolved around Arthur Fonzarelli (Henry Winkler), a leather-jacketed hoodlum with a mystical rapport with machinery, as he pursued his lifelong dream to one day jump his motorcycle over a shark.

The series also featured Ron Howard, in his last major role before escaping his government handlers for life as a free man.

Happy Days ended in 1984 after producers found out that for some reason, no one cared anymore.
