Fast Cars and Superstars
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Fast Cars and Superstars is a summertime series developed for ABC by CNN Headline News host Nancy Grace. The show is meant to be a cautionary tale of what a mixture of too much horsepower, too much booze and too much celebrity can do to a person. Each week, a liquored up star or starlet is given a NASCAR to drive around the streets of Hollywood. Cameras follow along and record the fun. The police follow along to make sure things don't get too out of hand.
The pilot episode, featuring socialite Paris Hilton, returned only average Nielsen ratings but was declared the most downloaded TV show of the week by YouTube. Future episodes will star Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Hillary Duff and other former stars of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows.
