Aquaman
From TeeVeePedia, the Internet TV Encyclopedia.
Aquaman (19??-present) is a super-hero who has intermittently been a member of Justice League Unlimited since the 1960s. Born in Atlantis to Prince Namor and Ariel the Mermaid, Aquaman uses his water-based powers to fight crime and discuss world politics with whales.

Early Years
After discovering his powers in his teenage years, Aquaman petitioned to join Justice League Unlimited in 1967. At that time, the organization was facing lawsuits for not allowing minorities such as aliens, women and other such creatures to join. Despite Aquaman's then unimpressive powers, he was made a full member of JLU in 1969. While he didn't contribute much on any missions that didn't involve water, Aquaman proved his usefulness by demonstrating his top-notch plumbing abilities on the restrooms at JLU headquarters.
Super Friends
While JLU's time as the "Super Friends" was hard on all its members, it was particularly hard on Aquaman. Forced to go on non-aqueous missions and limited to talking to the goldfish in the pond outside JLU headquarters, Aquaman's spirits began to flag. He began to drink heavily and took to wearing a horribly ugly orange and green costume. Despite a couple of stints in rehab, the personal problems proved too much for Aquaman, who left JLU in 1980 and wasn't seen for over a decade afterwards.
Comeback
In the late 1990s reports began to filter in from Atlantis about a mysterious superhero that had suddenly appeared. Investigating, JLU found that this was actually Aquaman, only with 100 pounds of muscle added on. Due to the use of steroids, Aquaman had developed incredible strength and speed, as well as the self-confidence he had lacked during the "Super Friends" era. As a result, Aquaman was reinstated into JLU in 2000.
Proposed TV Show
Life After Death
Despite the thumbs-down from the CW network, fans of Aquaman have refused to give up on what they call "their show". Using the power of the Internet, they have made Aquaman into the first show distributed entirely by Ipod. With their help, Aquaman has become the number one downloaded TV show of all time. (What they don't like to mention is that Aquaman is the only downloaded TV show of all time.) While encouraged by the fan support, Aquaman is somewhat disappointed because he has yet to make a dime on his series. Aquaman's struggles are currently documented on the HBO reality show Entourage.
