60 Minutes is a long-running news program on CBS, made expressly for old people. Each program is accompanied by a ticking stopwatch, intended as a grim reminder of viewers' impending mortality. Andy Rooney's commentary is included at the end of each program as a way to make that imminent death seem far more comforting and desirable.
